The practice two dentists bought and rebuilt

Nadine Al-Farhan and Shahad Al-Dabbagh met at dental school and bought this clinic together in August 2022. What they did next defines it: rather than keep a quiet neighbourhood surgery, they put in iTero scanning and a CBCT machine, hired a specialist bench and set out to make it somewhere other dentists could refer to. It was named Scotland’s Prestige Dental Clinic of the Year for 2024/25.

Treatments and services

General dentistry covers examinations, hygiene, white fillings, root canal treatment, crowns, bridges and dentures. The cosmetic branch runs to implants, veneers, composite bonding, whitening, smile makeovers and straightening with Invisalign; Nadine Al-Farhan and Kerri-Lee Clark, a member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, carry most of that work. Anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers are handled by the same clinicians who plan the smile. New patients get an examination, X-rays and a digital smile scan before any plan is drawn.

Referrals and the specialist bench

Other practices send cases here for implants, oral surgery, sedation, CBCT imaging, root canal treatment, hygiene therapy, Invisalign and cosmetic restorative work. Emma Sinton is a specialty dentist in oral and maxillofacial surgery with a postgraduate diploma in conscious sedation. Ahmed Khalid trained in implantology at the BAIRD Academy and is qualified in intravenous sedation. Brian Beggan holds Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery in Glasgow and is reading for a master’s in endodontology.

Hygiene and prevention

Three hygienists share the preventative side, and their seniority is the striking part: one qualified in 1980, another in 1990. They clean above and below the gum margin, chart and monitor gum pockets, screen the mouth for cancer and teach technique. Prevention is a named branch of the clinic here, and a treatment co-ordinator walks patients through longer plans.
